Shamanism has been called the first spiritual practice of humanity. For tens of thousands of years, its ways have helped with personal and community evolution and intuitive development. It has been effective in work to heal the self, the community and the planet.
This ongoing "playshop" introduces participants to the Shamanic Journey, a deep meditation that helps access intuitive and spiritual guidance for self-knowledge and self-healing.
Journeying is considered by some to be a form of spirit travel, and is a tool for engaging the help of universal, archetypal forces ~ angels, teachers and totem animals ~ that watch over the planet and all its creatures. Hypnotic drumming is used to promote relaxation and the experience of a trancelike visionary awareness that is the journeying state.
Journeying can be considered a spiritual practice, but one that is nondenominational. It can foster deeper connection to any personal faith or belief and can support any seeking or healing path. For many people, it is a comforting, fulfilling and joyful experience.
Each circle devotes the first hour to introductory Journeying instruction, and the second hour to exploring specific Journeys drawn from Native American, Celtic, and other Shamanic traditions.
The fee is $10 per session, payable that evening.
The circle gathers from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The Circle will be in a comfortable teaching space, SO PLEASE BRING MATS, BLANKETS, OR OTHER ITEMS THAT WILL HELP YOU BE COMFORTABLE DURING EXTENDED FLOOR WORK.
